Fire Investigation & Analysis
Most fire analyses require an understanding of the cause and origin of the fire. Our investigators follow the scientific method as discussed in NFPA 921, Guide for Fire and Explosion Investigations, as well other guidelines to collect and analyze data in the field as well as in the laboratory. We have extensive experience conducting fire investigations involving scene documentation, evidence collection, and burn pattern analysis. We further our field work with logical laboratory and computer modeling work to support or refute hypotheses on the fire development. Our engineers actively teach Fire & Explosion Investigation courses to clients. In addition Mr. Ryder teaches the graduate fire & explosion investigation course at the University of Maryland, College Park.
